I have to encourage you, if you haven't yet, to see the movie version of this book. It flew under the radar when it came out a couple of years ago, but the stop-motion animation really contributes to keeping the movie "feel" like the book. You'll have to let me know if you do get a chance to see it.
ReplyDeleteOn a different note, I'd say that kids who are fans of Roald Dahl are also good candidates for kids who would like this book.
